Have you been on the hunt for a new SUV? If so, you may have become overwhelmed by the number of SUVs on the market today. We don't blame you. Every car brand seems to have at least one SUV as an option, if not two, three, or even more. Both the Chevy Equinox and Ford Escape are popular options among our NJ area drivers. Which one is best for you? That all depends on your preferences and price range.

Do You Want More Space?

Both models come with up to five seats and a versatile second row that can hold plenty of cargo. The Ford Escape has more head and legroom for the front passengers along with a wider overall body. The Chevy Equinox has more cargo room.

What Type Of Power Do You Prefer?

Both models come with around 180-horsepower in their base engines, offer all-wheel drive as an option, and do have other, more powerful versions. The Ford Escape comes with slightly more power overall and has a hybrid option, while the Chevy Equinox just has gasoline-powered versions. The Chevy Equinox does have a larger gas tank, though.

How Much Do You Want To Spend?

Both models are similar in price, with a starting price tag of around $26,000. The Ford Escape comes with more trim levels and options, but also has higher overall prices.
